UK threat level reduced

The Government Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) has reduced the UK International Terrorist threat level from SEVERE to SUBSTANTIAL.

Substantial threat; means a terrorist attack remains a strong possibility which may occur without warning.

The Home Secretary said in a statement: "The change in the threat level to substantial does not mean the overall threat has gone away, there remains a real and serious threat against the United Kingdom and I would ask that the public remain vigilant"
