 The first game of the season starts with a glorious win to put the team in fine spirits against South Shields Raiders but the following three weeks brought negative results with defeats.

A light hearted win against Whiteleas Celtic brought the team back together and playing in team spirit to take South Shields Jaguars further onto another successful win the following week.

Another two weeks followed with defeats but the determination of South Shields Jaguars kept fighting and playing hard with a close game each week. Regardless of the defeat, their team commitment kept hopes high and competition strong.

Determination and commitment paid off to grab a point for the next two following games for two match draws which put South Shields Jaguars confident to win in the next three consecutive games.

Jarrow Boy Vikings put up a tough fight and a close game kept both sides fighting for the points but in the final few minutes of the game, the winning goal by the Jarrow Boy Vikings finalised the score.

20-03-2010 :: South Shields Jaguars v Swalwell Swifts :: Score  1 – 5

The miserable raining weather added to a defeat for the Jags again and spirits were not in the game against the Swifts.

Jack, the goalkeeper stepped up and played in mid defence to assist the team due to less players this week and he challenged well but he was unlucky to score an own goal. His determination was a credit and he proved to be a good team player throughout the game.

David Hall showed some fantastic saves that really impressed the spectators and stopped the competitors increasing their lead to an even better advantage.

Our only goal was from James who remains our leading goal scorer at the moment but I am sure we will press on next week to try for another victory game for the much needed points and to push us further up the table.

27-03-2010  Whiteleas Celtic v South Shields Jags

This week’s game started off with a goal from the Jags in the first few minutes from kick off from James. Kieran, our newcomer to the team created some good opportunities for the team and pushed the team forward to demonstrate his team commitment.

Whiteleas
had the advantage at half time with a 3 – 1 lead.

The second half kept spectators glued to the game, and it is fair to say that both teams played exceptional, with great spirit and sheer guts, to create a really exciting game for the much needed points.

The Jags done well to pull the second half back with some outstanding football from many all the players - and this team effort put the final score to a 3 –3 draw which pushed the Jags up the league table into 6th place.

Well done to both teams that really were a credit to their coaches and also to the referee that demonstrated really good skills that made the game fair and enjoyable.

17-.04.2010  -  South Shields Jags v South Tyneside Athletics    2-1The game started off average and it was fair to say that the Jags were not on their top form so by half time, they were 1 - 0 down.   The half time team talk motivated the players and there was some really good football played by all the team members of the Jags to bring the score of 1-1 with about 5 minutes to the end. Jayden played well to bring the team confidence back and put the game back on a an even keel. His second goal was confidently put in the net to bring the team cheering home with another victory win.   Again, the Jags battled hard in the second half to fight for the points and such good team spirit demonstrates their pay off, keep up the challenge boys...   (previous score for the table)  10.04.2010 South Shields Jags v Castle Park Jags - 0 - 12
